Your in-depth assessment is the very first step in the process of recovery, and these tests enable us to better understand and ultimately meet your needs.
We have streamlined our assessment process so that our clients can start their recovery journey as soon as possible. When you reach out to us, we will respond immediately and our private assessments are held within 24 hours of first contact.
It’s crucial to obtain the precise knowledge we need of each client’s behavioural, mental, and physical health, and our assessment process evaluates the degree of help needed and will identify areas to focus on during treatment.
Some of our clients use alcohol or substances, and in these instances, we need to know the quantity and type used in order to provide treatment as safely and successfully as possible. You may also be asked about any physical or mental symptoms and patterns of addictive behaviours, as well as the presence of any co-occurring disorders.
Please note that in some cases, individuals will require a medical detox before they are able to undergo cognitive treatment. Although we don’t provide this ourselves, we are able to arrange this service via our industry partners.

What Might You Be Asked?
Our specialists will ask you a variety of questions during the verbal parts of your assessment. This takes the form of an extended interview and will be completely confidential. Our therapists are able to deliver this assessment over the phone or in person, whichever is more convenient for you.
Some topics to expect to discuss during your assessment interview are:
- Your general mental and behavioural well-being
- Contributing factors to your mental state i.e. intense workload or past trauma
- Instances of neurodivergence
- Any coping behaviours such as substance use or gambling, and how frequently you’re engaging in them
- Questions about the consequences you are experiencing due to your condition
- Questions about psychosocial circumstances and any previous mental health diagnoses
These questions help us better understand your needs and provide us with information we need to deliver the best level of support. If necessary, you may be referred for a psychiatric assessment for related co-occurring disorders.
Integrated Treatment
People struggling with mental health conditions often use maladaptive coping strategies to manage their feelings. This can take many forms including substance use, gambling, working excessively and self-harm.
We evaluate every aspect of your mental and behavioural health and offer mental health treatment for conditions such as anxiety, depression, and burnout. If you’re struggling with addictive behaviours alongside a mental health condition we can provide integrated dual diagnosis treatment.
We offer therapies designed to help you reclaim mental and emotional balance. When we have as much information about your physical and mental state as possible, it puts you in the best position to make your treatment a success.
We do not prescribe medication, although we support our clients’ use of medication if required and our staff can make referrals to an external service if necessary.
